I'm just some dude

My name is Stephen James Kranz. I believe that we should hold high standards for those who hold our high public offices. So, I am leading by example, and doing things the way I think they should be done as a proof of concept.

The story of how the Walk came into being is a story of a dazzling dream, followed by a reduction in speed and an alteration of course.

What do I walk for? How would I use political office to effect change? What is my stance on the production, distribution and consumption of apples? Well, I'll tell you.

Early on in this journey, I read—and, in fact, memorized—the Declaration of Independence because I thought it would be useful. What really stuck was the final line where the signers, in support of the declaration, pledge their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. It made me ask myself what would it mean for me to pledge my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor to my dream?
